The 5G standards are racing to keep up with the adoption rates. Release 15 of the 3GPP 5G system standards was just getting things started for 5G, and it left many things unfinished or untouched. As we look to Release 16, 17 and beyond, there are many improvements to the standard and new ideas being introduced.
