Lesson 1 - Introduction - Designing Ultra Wideband Devices
In this course, we'll consider new technology advantages in EW and radar systems.
Electronic warfare (EW) and radar systems benefit from increased bandwidths in data converters [digitizers and arbitrary waveform generators (AWGs)] - especially for continuous data capture, analysis, and signal generation. Creating a one-size-fits-all system is not practical, and designers must understand the tradeoffs. From exploring the leverage of new commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment and test architectures to wideband noise levels and data rates, this course will guide designers considering new technology advantages in EW and radar systems.
Who should take Design Challenges for Ultra Wideband Devices?
This course is designed for designers of EW and radar systems who are considering options to improve capabilities in continuous data capture, analysis, and signal generation.
We'll cover:
- Increasing bandwidth in data converters
- Resulting system flexibility and tradeoffs
- How to leverage these new technology advantages
